Thank you for your interest in bringing your group to SUNY New Paltz. We offer two types of visits:  

Discover New Paltz: Guided Tour + Student Enrichment Programs 

Experience a comprehensive, student-led campus tour and get an inside look at our supportive academic community. You will begin your day with a presentation from our Office of Undergraduate Admission, you will then learn directly from our Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and Scholars' Mentorship Program (SMP) offices. 

Who? Juniors and Seniors in High School (max 50 students) 

When? Select Wednesdays at 10:15 AM 

10:15 a.m. - Arrive at SUNY New Paltz  
10:30 a.m. - Admission Presentation  
10:45 a.m. - Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Presentation  
11:00 a.m. - Scholars Mentorship Program (SMP) Presentation  
11:15 a.m. - Campus Tour  
12:45 p.m. - Campus Tour Concludes

Campus Snapshot: 90-Minute Student Led Tour  

Join one of our friendly student ambassadors for a 90-minute walking tour of our scenic campus. Hear about life at New Paltz from a student’s perspective, explore key spots, and imagine yourself spending the next four years here. No presentations, just an authentic student experience.  

Who? Juniors and Seniors in High School (max 40 students) 

When? Group Tour Week (Dates To Be Determined - Come back mid-May) 

10:15 a.m. - Arrive at SUNY New Paltz  
10:30 a.m. - Campus Tour 
12:00 p.m. - Campus Tour Concludes 
Please note we cannot alter this schedule and late arrivals will result in a shortened tour as our student ambassadors have a hard cutoff at 12:00pm so they can get to their classes on time.  

Group Visit Policies  

Chaperones: As per New York State Education Law, you must provide an adult chaperone for every 10 students attending. SUNY New Paltz also requires one additional chaperone.  

Cancellations: Due to the high volume of requests, all group visit bookings will be final and unable to be rescheduled. Any groups that cancel within two weeks of their scheduled visit will not be prioritized for visiting the following semester. Thank you for understanding.

Once you are notified, you will need to complete:

Group Visit Request Form - Typically available mid-May

Please note the following: 

• Filling out this form does not guarantee you a date. We will reach out to you to let you know if you have been selected for a group tour. 

• We will prioritize groups who have not visited in the past two semesters.  

• Groups of more than 50 students will not be permitted.
