This form is for students who would like to apply to reserve their spot and be
conditionally accepted to the ACE program.
A final acceptance email will be sent prior to the start of the semester after confirming you meet program requirements and after your intake meeting with an ACE advisor or the director.

ACE Eligibility
This question provides information about eligibility requirements for the New Paltz ACE program. Please read the information below and indicate if you'd like to meet with an advisor to learn more.
Be an incoming transfer student with an earned associate degree by the start of the term. Students with associate degrees from non-SUNY/CUNY schools are welcome to apply and will be reviewed for eligibility.
OR
be an incoming transfer who is currently in an ASAP|ACE program and is on track to complete a bachelor's in four years.
Complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and the
New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
application.
Note: Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA at
https://www.hesc.ny.gov/altpath
. Students may also reach out to ASAP|ACE staff to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.
Receive at least $1 of federal Pell
or
NYS grant aid (TAP or Excelsior). Students in the process of completing financial aid may be conditionally accepted into the program.
Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
Be eligible for in-state tuition.
Enroll full-time each semester in an ACE-approved degree program.
Commit to the completion of an eligible major within two years.* Transfers with a degree must be able to complete their degree requirements within 60 credits to be eligible. All majors are currently eligible, however, eligibility for certain majors may be impacted if you have not completed prerequisite coursework at your prior college.
*Students transferring from an ASAP|ACE program must be on track to complete their degree within a four-year time frame to be eligible.
Adhere to all ACE program requirements (Program requirements will be discussed during the information/intake session).
