This form is for students who would like to apply to reserve their spot and be
conditionally accepted to the ACE program.
A final acceptance email will be sent prior to the start of the semester after confirming you meet program requirements and after your intake meeting with an ACE advisor or the director.

Must be an incoming accepted transfer student with an
earned associate degree*
.
*Students who are currently working on their associate degree who expect to graduate prior to the start of the semester can be considered. In this case, students could be conditionally accepted into the program.
Complete the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and the
New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
application.
Note: Students concerned about completing the FAFSA due to family circumstances can reach out to ACE program staff to learn about options to apply directly for New York State financial aid.
Receive at least $1 of federal Pell
or
NYS grant aid (TAP or Excelsior). Students in the process of completing financial aid may be conditionally accepted into the program.
Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (NYS DREAM Act students also eligible)
Be eligible for in-state tuition.
Enroll full-time each semester in an ACE-approved degree program.
Commit to the completion of an eligible major within two years. All majors are currently eligible, however, eligibility for certain majors may be impacted if you have not completed prerequisite coursework at your prior college. Transfers must be able to complete their New Paltz requirements within 60 credits to be eligible.
Adhere to all ACE program requirements (Program requirements will be discussed during the information/intake session).
